Briceland Volunteer Fire Department Chief, Tim Olsen, 71, died March 20th of a massive heart attack while on his way to a meeting with CAL FIRE.

Despite valiant efforts from members of the Briceland Fire District and City Ambulance to revive him, Tim did not survive. Friends and co-workers of Olsen describe him as a true hero, energetic, passionate about his work, and a mentor to all.

Olsen served the Briceland community for nearly twenty years, as well as serving on the Shelter Cove fire department for over ten years.
