In loving memory of Officer Kevin Sandoval

End of Watch: 6/14/2011

South Pasadena Police Officer Kevin Sandoval, 23, collapsed and reportedly lost consciousness during a joint-training session in the San Gabriel Mountains on June 14, 2011. According to on scene paramedics, Sandoval was already in a cardiac arrest when they arrived at the site. He was then airlifted to the hospital. Shortly after being attended to, Sandoval was pronounced dead at 3:00 p.m. at Foothill Hospital in Glendora.

His death is the first at South Pasadena Police Department since April 21, 1944.
