In loving memory of Firefighter Anthony Valerio

Anthony Valerio, 53, a firefighter/paramedic with San Francisco Fire Department died June 4th at San Francisco General Hospital. Valerio sustained severe burns on June 2nd while he and Lt. Vincent Perez, 48, and a third firefighter were trying to extinguish a fire at a four-story home in Diamond Heights. They were caught in a “flashover” and activated their emergency location device, alerting dispatch that they were in need of assistance. Lt. Perez died on June 2nd just after he was pulled from the structure.
