Introduction to

Police and Fire: The Fallen Heroes is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to honoring and supporting the families of those law enforcement and fire service personnel who, in the performance of their duties, paid the ultimate sacrifice for the California Communities they served.
We are dedicated to acknowledging the final heroic acts of those men and women who served their respective communities so bravely and selflessly, to pay tribute to their memories as true heroes, and to provide support to those children, families and agencies who have been effected by a sudden loss in the line of duty. Supporting peace officers and firefighters together, under one umbrella, is a comprehensive approach allowing this nonprofit to live up to its motto, “Serving Those Who Served.”
Our organization began simply with a desire to help the families of the four Oakland police officers violently killed in the line of duty on March 21, 2009. In a short time, we created our nonprofit corporation with dedicated volunteers and an esteemed board of directors. Around the one-year anniversary of the passing of our local heroes, we hosted a celebrity golf tournament, dinner, and auction at the Diablo Country Club to benefit those families of the slain officers. Celebrity guests included Eddie Money and Johnny Gunn (who provided the musical entertainment), Ron Masak, Jim Plunkett, Gary Plummer, Vida Blue, Charles Phan, and many other talented individuals. It was a phenomenal success and we have continued to build on that good fortune. We have expanded our support to include a Scholarship Program and our “Help For Heroes” program for effected agencies and families.
Our Chairman of the Board, Founder and CEO, Thomas D. Gallinatti, retired from the Oakland Fire Department as a Battalion Chief, after 30-years of service. He currently volunteers, full-time, to make Police and Fire: The Fallen Heroes a beneficial organization to the families and agencies that need us most.
